Editorial Values

MKV Digital Gulf Bulletin holds itself to a published set of editorial standards. This page explains what those standards are and how to hold us to them.

INDEPENDENCE

We are editorially independent. We do not accept paid placements, and our reporters are never incentivised to cover a company favourably. Commercial relationships never influence what we choose to cover or how we cover it.

ACCURACY

Every story is based on primary reporting, expert consultation, or independent research. Where we rely on a single source, we say so. Where a claim is contested, we present the disagreement rather than resolving it artificially.

SOURCING AND TRANSPARENCY

We name our sources wherever it is safe and possible to do so. When we grant anonymity, we do it because the information is in the public interest and the source faces a real risk, not as a convenience.

CORRECTIONS

We correct errors promptly and visibly. Corrections are noted on the article itself rather than made silently. If you believe we have published something inaccurate, contact us and we will investigate.

CONFLICTS OF INTEREST

Staff disclose financial interests in the sectors they cover. Where a conflict cannot be avoided, we disclose it in the article or reassign the story.

ADVERTISING

Advertising and sponsored material, where present, is clearly labelled and kept visually and editorially separate from journalism. Advertisers receive no advance sight of editorial coverage.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

We do not publish machine-generated articles as reported journalism. Where automated tools assist with research, transcription, or data processing, the resulting work is reviewed and verified by a human editor who takes responsibility for it.
