Etihad Saudi Flights: Riyadh and Dammam Cancellations Extended to 19 November as Four Jeddah Services Resume
Etihad Airways has extended the cancellation of passenger and cargo flights between Abu Dhabi and both Riyadh and Dammam until 19 November, while four Abu Dhabi–Jeddah flights are due to resume from 6 November.

Etihad Airways has lengthened the suspension of its services between Abu Dhabi and two major Saudi Arabian cities, citing continuing regional disruption. At the same time, the airline has announced a limited return of flights on the Jeddah route.
Riyadh and Dammam: cancellations run to 19 November
All flights between Abu Dhabi and Riyadh remain cancelled through Thursday, 19 November. The same applies to Abu Dhabi–Dammam. The measures cover both passenger and cargo operations on the two routes.
The latest notice follows a series of earlier extensions on Abu Dhabi–Saudi services, each of which set a shorter end date for the cancellations. The new date pushes the suspension further into November.
Passengers holding bookings on either route have been advised to contact Etihad directly. The airline can provide details of alternative travel arrangements, rebooking options and refunds. Those intending to travel between Abu Dhabi and Riyadh are also urged to check with the carrier for the latest information before going to the airport.
Jeddah: four flights to return from 6 November
Etihad is scheduled to restart four Abu Dhabi–Jeddah services from Friday, 6 November:
- EY601: Abu Dhabi to Jeddah
- EY602: Jeddah to Abu Dhabi
- EY603: Abu Dhabi to Jeddah
- EY604: Jeddah to Abu Dhabi
The airline has stated that all other flights between Abu Dhabi and Jeddah will continue to operate as scheduled. Travellers with Jeddah bookings should still confirm the status of their specific flight before departure, as the carrier has not ruled out further changes.
What affected passengers should do
Etihad has described the situation as dynamic and has cautioned that its flight schedule could change again. Passengers are advised to take the following steps:
- Check the current status of their flight on the airline's official website, etihad.com, before travelling.
- If a booking has been cancelled, visit the Etihad Contact Us page, which lists local telephone numbers, a live chat service and social media support channels.
- Ask about rebooking or refund options if the booked route is among those affected.
- Re-check flight details close to the departure date, given the possibility of further adjustments.
The airline has apologised for the disruption and said its teams are working to assist affected customers with their travel plans. It added that the safety and comfort of passengers and crew remain its top priority.
Outlook for Abu Dhabi–Saudi travel
The update shows a mixed picture for travel between the UAE capital and the Kingdom. Riyadh and Dammam services stay suspended until at least 19 November, whereas the Jeddah route is moving towards a fuller schedule. Because earlier cancellation periods have already been extended more than once, travellers and cargo customers with plans on the affected routes may wish to keep allowances for further revisions and rely on Etihad's official channels for confirmed information.
No reasons beyond the continuing regional disruption have been given for the extended cancellations, and no date has been announced for the return of Riyadh and Dammam flights beyond the current end of the suspension period.
